SK Food Group Walks to Make a Difference at Race for the Cure
Honoring Survivors, Supporting Fighters, and Remembering Loved Ones
In a genuine display of solidarity, 21 associates from SK Food Group participated in the Race for the Cure on Saturday, May 18th, at North Bank Park in downtown Columbus, OH. This event was a meaningful stride towards supporting breast cancer survivors, honoring those who have lost their lives, and giving hope to those still fighting.
At SK Food Group, we are passionate about events like Race for the Cure because they align with our core value, “We Care.” Caring means providing community support and advocating for healthier outcomes. Our team’s involvement stems from a deep commitment to raising awareness and supporting cancer research. (See our pink hairnet campaign on the manufacturing lines).
“I have found that it’s often in personal experiences that we find the strongest motivations to advocate for change. My decision to participate in the event, despite it being focused on breast cancer, was to walk for my mom who battled colon cancer. We have a commitment to raising awareness and supporting those fighting against cancer in all its forms. Bringing attention to early detection and fundraising for research are vital steps in the fight against cancer.”

The event was an opportunity for our associates to connect with the community, show support, and contribute to a cause that affects so many lives. By walking together, we honored those who have battled breast cancer and reinforced our dedication to fighting cancer in all its forms. SK Food Group is proud to be part of initiatives that strive to make a positive impact and bring hope to those affected by cancer.
