Associate Spotlight: Joe Johnston

Joe Johnston was a former Sergeant in the Marine Corps, serving for 8 years at various duty stations in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. He is currently a Senior Manager of IT in Columbus and has been with SK since 2014.

We asked Joe a few questions about his work with SK and what he enjoys most. 

What is your favorite thing about working at SK Food Group?

JJ: I enjoy coming to work every day because of the people and the exciting projects. As a Senior Manager in the IT department, I have the privilege of working with a fantastic team spanning the United States and Canada. I’ve had the opportunity to be part of remarkable projects, such as the construction of the Groveport facility and the expansion into Phoenix. Additionally, I’ve collaborated with the team to extend our SK network to locations like Buddy’s Kitchen, Deli Chef, Quality Fine Foods, Raybern’s Foods, and Leonetti’s. It’s the teamwork and these projects that make each workday truly enjoyable.

Ultimately, it’s the combination of teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning that makes each day rewarding and something I eagerly anticipate.
