Elle Farrell, Director of Sales – Walmart & Sam’s Team, Seattle, has been with SK since 2021. We asked Elle a few questions about her work with SK and what she enjoys most.
What is your favorite thing about working at SK Food Group?
EF: The culture. SK Food Group has an amazing culture that became very apparent during my first interview. The culture here is one that promotes trust, facilitates autonomy, and encourages professional growth. One in which corporate values and mission are consistently demonstrated across all levels. Of course, our focus is on profits, but I’m reminded daily of the company’s passionate attention to tackling environmental and social issues, doing our part to improve the lives of our employees, the communities in which we operate, and ultimately the planet.
Why do you think people should join the SK family?
EF: It’s simply a great place to work! The leadership team cares for and values every employee, helping them achieve their highest potential. One example of this is our quarterly innovation meeting that provides a forum for employees to bring forward ideas for new products, product formats, customer groups, etc. No idea is too quirky or too small to discuss. This allows employees an opportunity to be heard, for their suggestions to be considered, and the ability to have a direct impact on the future of our business.
What do you look forward to most in your day?
EF: Working with the largest retailer in the world is challenging. However, challenge is welcomed while I know I have full support from leadership, constantly cheering for my team and I, breaking down internal hurdles to ensure success. I come to work every day feeling empowered and excited to take on the challenge!
