Celebrating women’s history and nurturing new leaders today.
March is Women’s History Month in the US, a time to celebrate the contributions of women who have inspired, led, and left their mark in every sphere of society. This month and every month, SK Food Group is committed to amplifying the voices of women and nurturing women leaders across our company.
One way this commitment has come to life is through the Women’s Leadership Network (WLN). A new Employee Resource Group (ERG) at SK Food Group, the WLN was created in collaboration with our Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council (DIAC) to bring female Associates together as allies and forces of change.
“I am excited to be a part of the Women’s Leadership Network and what it has in store for the future of SK Food Group. As a female leader, I know how important it is to attract, retain and advance women leaders within the workforce… I am honored to be able to take part in mentoring, developing, and supporting other women in their leadership goals.”
— Jessica Miller, Talent Acquisition Manager
One of the main functions of the WLN is identifying and developing leaders in the making. Women can find new opportunities through the WLN to connect with mentors and supportive colleagues. The group can also raise issues collectively that might be too risky for an individual to share on their own, and provide a safe place where conversations can flow freely and all voices can be heard.
We are proud to celebrate the women of SK Food Group, whose hard work and vision are building a stronger, more inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone can thrive.
Our goal to encourage a culture of inclusion, diversity and equity is aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
