Festive Celebrations Across Our Facilities
At SK Food Group, we take pride in honoring the diverse cultures that make up our workforce. This September, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, three of our facilities hosted events that brought employees together to recognize and enjoy aspects of Hispanic culture.
In Reno, NV, the HR and Leadership teams teamed up to serve a delicious Nacho Bar to all three shifts of employees. Leadership took the time to prepare and personally serve the food to our associates, creating an atmosphere of connection and appreciation. The Nacho Bar was a big hit, with employees enjoying both the meal and the opportunity to engage with their leaders in a relaxed, festive setting.
In Tolleson, AZ, the SK team in Phoenix brought Hispanic flavors to the break room by setting up a table of candies from various Latin American countries. Associates had the opportunity to sample these sweet treats, and a diversity board was also set up with information on Hispanic heritage. This event allowed employees to learn more about the rich cultural backgrounds of their coworkers while enjoying some delicious snacks.
In Tupelo, MS, we hosted a Spanish Heritage Month Celebration with a food truck onsite from Taco El Tompo, providing employees with a flavorful lunch including tacos, chips and salsa, fruit cups, Hispanic candies, and refreshing Frajito’s drinks. The celebration wrapped up with an exciting raffle, giving employees the chance to win amazing prizes such as a 55-inch Smart TV, a $50 gift card, a grill, a rolling cooler, and lunch bags. The event was a huge success, bringing everyone together for a fun and rewarding day.
Each of these events highlights the importance of recognizing the diverse cultures within SK Food Group and fostering a sense of inclusion and appreciation across all our facilities. We’re proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and look forward to many more opportunities to bring our teams together!
